Fundamentals
Brisbane City Rollers has a Fundamentals class (18+) with learning levels from beginner to intermediate, BCR definition of beginner: Can move and stand upright on roller skates without falling. We can teach you the rest!
While in the fundamentals class you will make many friends and learn all the skills required to safely play at bouting level. This class will help you to understand the rules of the game and to condition you to the rigours of playing in a BCR team. Basic skating skills skating are learnt first i.e. form, cross-cross overs, stopping, turning and falling safely before progressing to more advanced skills like blocking techniques and game plays.
At regular intervals during the year there is opportunity to try-out for bouting status.
